Use & ritual

Use a fireproof dish or abalone shell with a layer of sand

Light the end of the sahumito and let it catch fire briefly

Blow out the flame so that the bundle continues to smoulder

Gently guide the smoke through the room or around yourself

After use, extinguish in sand and check that the beam is completely out

Tip: If the sahumito is tightly packed, blow a little extra to activate the smoldering.
